Teri Dooley Malphrus

Teri Dooley Malphrus of Okatie, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, on February 15, 1960, to the late James Marvin Dooley and Linda Aikin Dooley, Teri was the eldest of three siblings. She was a graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School. Since the late 1980s, Teri made her home in the Okatie area, where she became deeply rooted in the community. Many recognized her welcoming voice on the phone from her many years serving as the long-time office manager of Malphrus Pest Control.

Faith and family were the heart of Teri’s life. A founding member of Okatee Baptist Church, she dedicated many summers to serving as the Vacation Bible School director. Her presence was a joyful, constant sight at her children’s and grandchildren’s events. Teri brought warmth, kindness, and light to everyone who knew her. She possessed a comforting nature, a genuine willingness to listen, and a heart that always went out of its way to serve others. Above all, she treasured her family and every moment spent with those she loved.

She is survived by her three loving sons, Jonathan Malphrus (Amy), Chad Malphrus, and Tyler Malphrus(his fiancée Erica); her cherished grandchildren to whom she was Mimi, Caleb and Riley Malphrus and soon to be Stella Powell; her sister, Tammi Dooley Hughes, along with Tammi's children, Alex Hughes (Jordan), Dylan Hughes, and Jody Cline; and her brother, Todd Dooley, along with his children, Laikin and Morgan Dooley.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, James Marvin Dooley and Linda Aikin Dooley.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, starting at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.

All family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Teri’s life.
